I could never begin to properly define echolalia, so I

Wow Thanks paula. I could not have defined it that well. Heck I didn't even come close to really understanding it that well.
Mike has done echolalia on and off for ever but the other day I saw him doing the immediate - non interactive type. Though it could have been for any of the 3 reasons listed. It was in school and his aide did tell me that he had done it on and off all that day and does sometimes do it in school. I had never noticed it to that extent before.
Mike can converse typically, he only reverts back to this when stressed, overstimulated or being funny.
