I'm so excited. The school psychologist told me that Victor needs to be tested for GT as soon as possible. The school wants me to wait until the end of October to the begining of Novemeber to have him tested. Well, the vice-principal of the school told me that if the kids qualify for GT in 4 and 5th grade, they are transfered to academically challenging schools. HOT DOG! When we lived on the base in Ky, the kids went to a DoD school that was very academically challenging and when we got here and ended up at this school, I was worried that my daughter wouldn't learn how to read because they didn't require reading in Kindergarden. Of course, she's just as smart as her brother so she learned it on her own. Anyway, back to the story, long and short of it is that if both kids pass their GT on October 10, I get to transfer them to a school that will be intellectually challenging and Victor's IEP still transfers over. I'll bet anything that we see vast improvements in him also. However, I did have to bribe him to take the test, otherwise he'd tank it on purpose. I told him that if he did his best on the exam, I would get him his Pokemon Emerald Version for gameboy that he wants. ( and yes, sister's getting a gameboy game also). If he passes this test tho, that stupid teacher who doesn't want to take the time to help him disappears. HOT DOG!!!! Okay, thanks for listening. Talk to you ladies later.

This is definitely really good news. I find it so irritating when children have IEP's and their teachers refuse to use them. In this case if your child is having behavior issues it is most likely because he's bored. Good luck! I hope that both of your children do well.
