Seems district is filing due process

They don't want to do the independent assessment I requested. I heard through the grapevine today they are going to take me to due process over it. Ugh. I am not in my happy place.
On Monday my boss/friend was observing Cait for the OT assessment and Cait had written "I am a Retard" all over her arms during Language Arts class. The teacher later emailed me about this and how concerned she was however, according to OT the teacher hadn't even noticed it until the OT pointed it out. Cait was in the hall doing her work outside the SDC class. The teacher was coming out to work with her on occasion and then Cait would work independently. She had to redo a test she had failed in math from the week before.
Last week the Ed consultant observed Cait in the class and had nothing really glaring to report from that however, that was when Cait failed the math test.
The ed consultant has lots of good ideas but I don't know how much they will actually help at all. Some of it even if the district agrees to it, I don't see them implementing. He gave me some homework I am putting off. UGH. I just don't want to deal with this!
But according to the school there is no problems. Everything is fine and how dare I ask for more assessments or school services.

Oh ISH!!! No advice to give that you probably can't get a better version of from someone else, but lots of hugs!

Jeeez louise!
I can't do a long post here or it will become a huge rant.
I am guessing you didn't get a chance to see Cait's arms and take photographs before they were washed clean?
I say bring it ON. They can take you to DP all they like. Can/will your OT friend be called as a witness to back you up?
Unbefreakinlievable!

Crap like this really ticks me off. Do they think you're ignorant or something? I'm with Paula...BRING IT ON. Then you can, in your polite Renee way, chew 'em up an' spit 'em out!
Since you already got your hugs, I'll send you some cyber wine...and perhaps a cabana boy. I'm sure you could use a good massage right now!

How can they even possibly say they don't see any problems! sending lots of P&PT's
