Recently found "Kids in the syndrome mix of ADHD,LD,Asperger's,Tourette's,Bipolar and More". By Martin L. Kutscher MD with contributions from Tony Attwood and Robert R.Wolf I really like this book, easy to read & understand. Great explainations of behaviors and complete discussions on medicines. I ordered "More than a mom" and "Finding Ben". Looking forward to reading those books.

Thanks for the recomendation.

I tried to get it today at the library but it wasn't available. I think I put in a request for that one as well as one other I want.

I did find a new book today I am enjoying called "Send in the Idiots". Some of the language is pretty technical (it is written by an autistic) but the concept is incredibly facinating and enthralling.

In the early 80's there was a private school for kids with autism that openned in NYC. This is before there was tons of awareness, information and even research. The man who wrote the book was in that class and he went back and found 4 of his classmates and what they were doing now, what they had done in life as well as the teacher and wrote about it.

In the first chapter (which is as far as I have gotten) he waxes scientific on the complexities of language and communication. I had to skim some of that but other wise it is really great.

BTW, the title "Send in the idiots" is an echolalic phrase one of the kids used to say in the class.
