Yesterday was my daughter's birthday party and overall it was fun. Had a few outbreaks with Dakota especially when he didn't win any of the prizes. Had an all out tantrum when he didn't. As the day wore on though his behavior grew worse. Alot my be due to Sierra getting most of the attention & especially getting new toys and he none. He became somewhat violent to Sierra's new toys wanting to slam them on the ground. I could tell he was struggling on trying to handle this overwhelming situation. Didn't help with 15 other kids there as well as about 15 or so adults. Mom was quite overwhelmed as well.
Today wasn't much better. I think some of the previous day's feelings stayed. Dakota wrote on walls with a marker, threw chewed up gum on the carpet, drew with a crayon on Sierra's new toy horse stable, etc. Told Dakota with this kind of behavior not to expect to have his playstation retuned to him this month and was forced to go to bed at 7pm, one hour before I put Sierra to bed. He was upset but when 7pm came he went to bed easily without difficulty. I sure hope tomorrow is better. UGH!!
Now both kids are in bed and I'm finally get to relax.

hee hee, Sounds like Cian after Liam's bday party yesterday. Cian was just as obnoxious as could be once the presents came out, and the then today was just icky in general, mean snotty, whiney. Passd out for a nap (almost NEVER happens) at 3pm and slept 'till 6pm, ate dinner, had a bath watched a show and passed back out. I'm sure it was all due to yesteraday etc.
Well, Monday yields another fresh start...sigh

Oh man, what an overstimulating experience. I think it is in the air too. We had an extra "A" weekend and we did absolutely nothing. Literally. Except for Taking Emily to a birthday party we stayed home. Not completely by choice however. It was very evident by friday night or sat morning that Mike was NOT going to be able to be out in public this weekend. I did catch a bit of it on video. A very small bit though but I just had to.
