That is really sweet. I remember back in the day that chris would freak out so bad with hair cuts he entered kindergarten with his hair halfway down his back lol.

I think all the moms thought I was a hippy/granola bar mom lol. I wasn't really, I wanted him to get his hair cut, but at the time I couldn't understand why in the world he would tramatize over a hair cut, but he did. I just decided I wasn't gonna fight that battle over hair and let it go.

I remember tho my husband's brother's girlfriend gave me a lecture on hygene, and I was so pissed. I said wait a min, he's clean, his hair is clean, wth is wrong with you????

WOW that is awesome Tina! Heck it took us to I think it was 8 or 9 before Mike even tolerated a professional cut at all and still was with the scrunching. Just this year FINALLY it isn't an ordeal to get a haircut. He actually seems interested in looking good so it is much less of a fight, he just does that squirmy scrunching the neck thing, lol.

WTG BOBBY! That is awesomely wonderful. You guys have definitely done something right. I love looking back lately and seeing progress.

Great point! Man I wish I thought of that at the time. She's still in the family, as a gf (and definetly gets treated that way) but can piss me off at times regarding my boys.

And she even is a teacher at juvinell hall. She doesn't care about those kids. She's there for a paycheck. Very sad imo.

Funny story about haircuts. My son is almost 3--10 more days to go and hates, I mean HATES his hair being washed, cut or anything near his head. Well since I'm not into having a smelly kid, he gets his hair washed like it or not. As for the haircutting business I have to have him watch Mickey Mouse club, I get behind him, twist his hair and snip it off. Okay so he looks a little like Frodo from the Hobbit, but it works. Thank God he has curls to his hair otherwise they would think he cuts his own hair.

So I'm cutting his hair one day and he's not having any part of it. For the most part he's non verbal, but he will spit certain sentences out that blow me away. I snip two locks of hair off and he turns around and states with the utmost conviction a two year and 11 month old can have and says "Don't cut my hair!". I was floored! Here i've been trying to get him to say "more milk" and he goes and states his dislike of having his hair cut. I laughed my very big booty off the rest of the day.

lol our kids are amazing arn't they? Heck I remember when my son first had his major trantrum at the hair dressers and it was so disturbing. My friend was there with me and we totally didn't expect it. We still bring it up in convo to this day.

I would try to cut his hair in his sleep, but I could never do it cuz my son would never sleep lol. I would try to do it while he was interested in something else, but it just wouldn't work. Heck I even got a playdough haircutting kit so I could work out his fears with it, but that didn't even work...

I love it when I see new parents with their very small, non crying babies in their arms looking at you with your kid screaming at the top of their lungs wondering what kind of parent are you. I just think to myself: just wait, you think your child would never act like that and they will. You will walk out of Trader Joe's your cheeks all pink because your child wanted that bottle of sake (Andrew like the label) and you trying to calmly tell him no you can't drink that but mommy sure would like to. I looked at the new parents and said "one day that beautiful, quiet child will do the same thing!"

I'm also thinking for Andrew's 3rd birthday to put the words "I'm only 3, give me a break!" on every shirt he owns.
