advice for friend...

Hi. I have a friend with a daughter who has PDD and sensory integration and need some advice about how to help her. First, some backstory. My friend took the diagnosis hard and seems to be still in a stage of disbelief. I've always known though, I'm a teacher and have worked with a couple of students with Asberger's. The daughter is a twin and my friend insists they be in the same class. Well, today was their first day of kindergarten and it didn't go well. The teacher pulled my friend aside and basically said that there are a lot of issues there and she just doesn't know how she is going to deal with them along with teaching the other children. (There are 30 kids and a full time aide who has teaching credentials). It was recommended at the end of preschool that she consider putting her in a special needs kindergarten. That was out of the question, but I don't see how she is going to succeed in a regular kindergarten. Do I tell my friend that? Right now, I'm tiptoeing here. Sometimes I think I may see things differently than my friend, but I don't if that is necessarily always a good thing. Plus, I don't have any children yet, so I feel I don't have the "right" to give parenting advice. HELP!
