Cian got the bus today....first time

OMG, I had no idea watching Cian get the bus for the first time would be so hard. He of course was so excited, sat on the front porch waiting for it. I was all teary when it drove away from the house. Suddenly, everything is soooo quiet (well Roan's nattering away at a Blue's Clues book, but she's my talker lol). I honestly do not know what to do with myself. The next interesting hurdle will be if the boys' buses schedules overlap this afternoon. Cian gets dropped at the door ('cause the bus driver is a total sweetie), but Liam still is dropped off at the end of the street, and as he's spec ed they won't let him off the bus unless I'm there. I'm hoping Cian's bus gets home before Liam's. Ah the logistics of it all, sigh!

Reminds me, I need to call the psych and get Cian's results.

It's good prep for kindergarden.

Dee, I know how ya feel! Angel had her very first ride on the schoolbus 2 weeks ago, and I about lost it. ~snif~ Her bus is for kids in wheelchairs and she sat there on the lift with this absolutely brilliant smile on her face while the driver put her in. I almost forgot to take picuters for her book, but her sister was on top of it and was snapping pics. I which she'd used the digital camera though; she used her dad's rebel pro (its a pic quality thing she says).

Anyhoo, it was hard. Not only was my baby getting on the schoolbus, but she's my baby-baby, my youngest. And I thought last year was hard with the buying of preschool homeschool items for the last time (I balled my eyes out while placing an order for safety scissors and HWOT tablet!) Oh well. Now she's an old hand at it, lol. She was telling our neighbor all about

That's great!! Haley loves riding the bus. I wasn't sure she was going to get to ride it this year but thankfully we made it happen. She has to drive around picking up kids and dropping them off more than last year but she says she likes that better. LOL

Dee-

Why are buses so much harder for us parents than our children? Noah, Emma and Claire all three road the bus way before I was comfortable with it. Noah and Emma were 4, and Claire started when she was 3 1/2!!! Made me nuts. But they all three loved it!

Hugs to you!
