OMG Did you write this post for me ? I swear I am having the same thougths and feelings !!!!! My husband drops me off yesterday to volunteer...we knew it was going to be a bad day. Anyway so I get there and my son is already in the office. I am told he had a horrible day and the final straw was when he spit on multiple kids. So we are asked to take him home. She says she won't suspend him this time, but next time....

Anyway so my husband and I get more pissed off as the day goes on. We then ask Chad what happend and he shows us. Basically he blew raspberries at a kid, becuae another kid told him too. Today at school I march right into the classroom with this panic attack feeling and I basically just say straight to her, "What kinda spitting did Chad do ? " She says to me, "Well I didn't actually see it," but "two seperate children told me." WHAT THE HELL !!!!!? !!? !! I mean does that seem wrong to anyone else ? How can he almost get suspended over something she didnt' witness. I told her what he showed me, how it was more like blowing raspberries and not spitting like everyone is thinking. I have never seen Chad spit is why I knew this can't be true. He can't even spit yet while brushing his teeth...LOL..Anway so then she starts going over the other behaviors and I was furious. I mean I was respectful to her, but pretty angry. She says how the kids are "helping Chad." No they are not, when I am there, they have learned they should report everyone of Chad's behaviors to her. How is that helping. She then tries to throw in my face how this one girl who likes him tried to write him a note and he threw it on the groud and stomped on it. Saying how he didn't even undertstand she likes him. OMG DUH....he has no theory of mind woman !!! He is only thinking about his feelings at the moment that he was mad,

I really think you need to bring out the big guns where this Principal is concerned. She needs to be educated in Special education and the law.

Ananhdi,

I honsetly think some schools treat our kids inappropriately in the secret hope that we will give up and just pull them out.

I feel strongly that you should escalate this situation to district level.

I agree! My heart broke for you when I read that he was suspended.
