in our house the last week or so. Dumping things is the new trick. He has always done this but it has gotten out of control. Every closet/cabinet/pantry is locked and all stuff is up high. But he still gets it. Last monday he climbed from changing table to dresser and knocked everything off-moniter, wipes warmer, lamp, white noise machine and took our basket off a shelf that is 6' high on the wall. That has powder and lotion and all that in it. Yeah, not good....this is what happened that day.
Then on Wednesday he got a hold of my 30 oz. jug of water and dumped it in the living room. Then this happened on Thursday, admiting my fault since I left it out while I went to put younger ds down for nap...
Then on friday he got a hold of the powder in his room, although we rearranged his furniture and once again thought he couldn't get to it. But he started using his toys to climb up. Now mind you he has never been a climber. Due to sensory issues he is afraid of climbing and very reluctant to do even stairs and hates slides. So now we have totally stripped his room of everything except the essentials. Most things are locked in his closet. But now we have the problem of him playing very roughly with the blinds in there. He is going to end up ripping them. And him getting naked and peeing and pooping in his room. First we tried turning his diaper backwards but then he learned he could pull it down like undies, then we made sure he had a onesie on but if the neck was loose enough he would pull it down over his body, so then we made sure to get non-stretchy snap shirts but yesterday he figgured out how to unsnap the snaps at the bottom. I don't know what to do about this. He does this anytime he is supposed to be napping and he and I still very much need that nap.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions about any of this??? I am so at the end of my rope with patience and ideas.

Tonia,
What does he do with the stuff after he has dumped it? Does he handle it? squish, crunch, stomp or roll in in it?
