Hi Amy! Great to "see" You! How's that tummy coming along?
I'm so sorry this nonsense continues, it's enough to give you a major, constant headache, no? We are happy in our homeschooling currently, although we are again looking at programs available, which ... here ... are not much to look at. We sent all the new paperwork to 6 programs, full new neuropsych, updates reports from tutor and therapists (many plural), and we'll see if there are any openings in any appropriate programs. Really, I am almost ready to open my own school, although I KNOW just how much work that is and I don't have the financial connections or know Hillary Clinton or anyone --- Hey, where's Jackie with the triplets? I wondering how she is doing, such a fighter.
Anyways, homeschooling takes focus and energy, but once you get the routines reorganized, well, we have found it to be way fun much of the time. I know you were thinking of it, although having a new baby on the way must give you pause. We are not rigidly organized, like right now Malcolm is doing an online educational game after an hour of science and a session with his speech therapist on reciprocal conversation earlier today. Later we will do some math and English worksheets, but he can earn "screen time" for doing those easily. Then he has a friend coming for an overnight, so that will end schoolwork per se. Thing is, homeschooling can be at night, on weekend, with breaks, and that works best for us, being flexible, but always putting the time in.
But anyways, I am thinking of you, my online friend and am real glad to hear how you all are doing. What's going on with Clair right at the moment, still in previous classroom with all the trouble? Any better? As we always had Malcolm in separate private schools for high-functioning kids, we never dealt with all this stuff, although as you know, we still had problems... Truthfully, having Malcolm home has given us a lot of peace of mind, and he still has to work on everything else, executive functioning, social skills, etc. but we have everything to say with how that all happens for him. (Although he doesn't HAVE home work lol)
Don't know if this helps, but I always think it helps to remember there are always creative options thinking outside the box!
hey Darlin, good to see you back and posting, although I am sorry you are still dealing with so much crap you don't need. It never ceases to amaze me how many and varied idiots can congregate in one school. I guess it really is true that sh!t rolls down hill. You have an idiot principal, so the chances of haveing good people at the rest of the school become a matter of luck or oversight on the principal's part.
It sounds to me like Noah needs an aide, if not fulltime, then for part of the day. I am sure this is a battle you have fought before, so I won't push the point.
Oh Hun, 'course your not dead....in fact yer "feelin' better!"
It does feel like we are in average stress mode all the time and then whammied with a Moby Dick sized amount of stress on top from time to time.I was htinking this morning I have been pregnant or nursing (24/7 too) for almost 2 years. Holy Freakin' God; no wonder I'm a hormonal disater. Opps I'm hijacking, sorry. Just know I know how you're feeling.
Go get Claire her dream school!!!!!!!, and demand that one on one parapro.rah rah rah!!!!

Thanks Everybody!
You know Amy, Chris is 11 and I asked him if having and aide would bother him.
