Nathan's specialist won't put on paper that he has Asperger's syndrome because of insurance. He said that he has the traits of it and all but he won't do it. Nathan's OT said that he does have Aspie and so does the doctor but he does want to put it on paper. So now what do I do. So everyone have been treating it like it is Aspie. I have started to home schooling him. Thanks for being there for me!!

Mindy,
This is for the school district, right? Did the doctor put down and recommendations such as special ed, a small class size, occupational therapy, breaks when overwhelmed or anything like that? To my mind, recommendations like these are more important for the school than an actual DX because they are more specific than jut saying he as AS and leaving him to their mercy, you know?
