I was talking with my neighbor today and some things that came up got me to thinking...

You know how many people will tell you that God doesn't give you more than you can handle?

Hehehehe

I think it is one of those things where you quickly learn that you get down to your Very Last Nerve that much quicker if you sweat the small stuff. To me, the hands in the pants thing is small stuff when compared to ...running blindly into the street. I suppose if I had a kid where that is the *only* behavior, then I might be freaking out more.

But probably not. I think some people just need to loosen up a bit, you know?

...and that blue number in the back of your closet might be a good choice for today ;)

You know, I truly believe God doesn't give you more than you can handle, but some days you just have to look at Him and say "I'm down to my very last nerve and if you don't send help, I'm done!" I've always gotten help of some kind w/ that tactic/prayer!

I agree, the hand in the pants thing just doesn't matter at least until they're in the teens and doing it in public-- then it becomes and issue-- hopefully the child has moved on to another touch or something that is less of a stigma. I think you learn very quickly to 'not sweat the small stuff' as Paula said and concentrate on things that really matter like actually eating more than 200 calories a day of something other than Poptarts or being able to leave the house and ride in the car someplace other than Target for Legos.

I have no idea what you should wear today-- was 40* here this morning but supposed to get to 75* later-- layers would be good!

I sometimes wonder how long it will take me to understand my child, or if I ever will.

Well, I can tell you, My ds does play with his poop and I would welcome a hand down the pants :) LOL I do think that is something minor to get worked up about. But to each his own. I am sure there are more things that would get me worked up if Rece had been a NT kid.
