Hi all,
we're back. Trip was great; I'm glad I took all the precautions I did though; security is definitely the worst part of it. Did you know when deboarding an international flight in Atlanta they make you go through security AGAIN just to get back into the airport? Nutters!!!!

I will post more about the trip later, right now though I feel like I leave for a week and the world goes to pots in Liam's school. They are back to restraining him for sh!ts and giggles again. Even though he is not violent, and all his threats never have follow through, (which after 10 months you'd think THEY would understand that by now). So we heard about Tuesday's restraint, but Liam said he'd been restrained on Thursday as well and if that was the case THEY never told us, no report, paperwork etc . Liam is demoralised and terrible ashamed and thinks he is the "bad boy" here. Ugh....I just fired an email to witchy teacher and cc'd it to her boss and the school psychologist that dx Liam and I have in all the IEP/meetings. If I don't hear back by 1pm I am showing up at her door before school gets out.

Liam has stated he doesn't want to go back to that school as they "hold me down too much." This is totally to do with the current teacher's short timer attitude and two of three parapros that are there for the benefits (they told me that....to my face!). One of which is now heavily pg and she's in a class of auties, so I wonder if they restrain now just to protect her and the bump.

On a good note, I have found a DAN doctor that doesn't cost the earth; he's a neuro chiropractor who also provides DAN protocol. I will have Liam see him in a few weeks and if that goes well, Cian in June. Even though Liam is doing well these days (school morons not withstanding) any litle extra push might help. I can't wait for witchyface to pack up and leave.

I'm so glad you're back, Dee! it was awfully quiet w/o you!

That stinks that you have to be that on top of the teacher so she doesn't hold down your child. Sometimes I feel like school has been something to be endured by my children and they would learn so much more w/o it, tho their education about how negative the world can be has certainly come from going to school. (((HUGS))) and GO IN THERE and tell her how you feel!

welcome back, Luvvy. It really was quiet around here without you.

I agree with Betsy about giving the school a hard time. If they are restraining and upsetting children (I doubt it's only Liam) because of a pregnant woman in the class the logical thing is to swap out the pregnant woman and thereby negate the need to "protect" her from 7yos. Her condition is not Liam's problem, and they should not make it so.
