Inappropriate play or imaginative?

I can't figure out if what Gray plays with is age appropriate or weird. LOL. He is very imaginative and likes to pretend he is a crocodile and a scuba diver etc. He can turn anything into ANYTHING. Right now he turns sticks into crocodiles (the flavor of the month) and he makes scenarios and plays in the yard with his "crocodiles". Now they are sticks...but he seems to be pretending. Is that typical or atypical? I just don't know!

I'm by no means an expert, but I think that he's just really using his imagination well. My oldest dd is NT and she has quite an imagination too. I think it's a good sign that he's able to pretend play so well.

It's half good. :-) He pretend plays but then he also re-creates scenarios from his favorite nature shows. There is a scene in one where two crocs are fighting....so he will take two of his toys whales for example and smash them together and say they are fighting. LOL. It's a thin line. I'm not sure.
