^ ~ ^ ~ ^ ~ FRIDAY FIVE ~ ^ ~ ^ ~ ^

1) Do you watch any “reality TV” shows?

2) What’s the worst job you ever had?

3) Your friend has just gotten a new haircut and it’s a style that doesn’t look good on her. Do you tell the truth when she asks, “what do you think?”

4) If you could take credit for some medical or scientific discovery, what would it be?

5) If you could co-author a book, which famous writer would you choose?

My five...

1) Do you watch any “reality TV” shows?

I watched the first two runs of the "Survivor" series, but I haven't had the time or inclination for the latest ones! I also LOVED "The Mole" last fall! (or was it spring?)

2) What’s the worst job you ever had?

Hmmm... hard to say. I've been lucky. I think the worst job would have to be when I temped (only for about a week!) in a factory assembly line, putting together computers. Thank goodness for books on tape!

3) Your friend has just gotten a new haircut and it’s a style that doesn’t look good on her. Do you tell the truth when she asks, “what do you think?”

I try to find something good to say about it. There's always something positive, isn't there?

4) If you could take credit for some medical or scientific discovery, what would it be?

First instincts say a cure for depression...I've known too many people who suffer from this debilitating disease.

5) If you could co-author a book, which famous writer would you choose?

Definitely Barbara Kingsolver or Sandra Brown (for a mystery)... or Janet Evanovich. (Maybe this choice isn't as easy as I thought! All write strong women characters.)

Fri 5

1) Do you watch any “reality TV” shows? nope, don't watch much tv at all.

2) What’s the worst job you ever had? I was the manager of a chamber music ensemble that played mostly bad discordant 20c music and had to deal with an artistic director who was a micro-managing pyschopath.

3) Your friend has just gotten a new haircut and it’s a style that doesn’t look good on her. Do you tell the truth when she asks, “what do you think?” No, I'd just say nothing and hand her a razor and shaving lotion.

4) If you could take credit for some medical or scientific discovery, what would it be? probably asthma because both my daughter and brother have it.

5) If you could co-author a book, which famous writer would you choose? The one who'd give me the biggest share of the money? To be honest, I'm not keen on the idea of co-authoring, particularly if it was fiction; it's bad enough when your characters run out of control, but if they did it with someone else, too ... chaos.

My Five (m)

1) Do you watch any "reality TV" shows?

The only one I've really gotten into is Shipmates. It's amazing how rude some people can get when they're on a 48 hour date-LOL.

2) What's the worst job you ever had?

I worked for a very brief time (during my high school years)at this photography studio doing telemarketing calls. I quit very quickly because hearing "NO, DON'T CALL HERE NO MORE!" gets old real fast.

3) Your friend has just gotten her haircut and it's a style that doesn't look good on her. Do you tell the truth when she asks, "what do you think?"

I would probably not come right out and say I hate it, but I'd tell her the truth while congratulating her on being brave enough to try a new hairdo.

4) If you could take credit for some medical or scientific discovery, what would it be?

I'd love to be the one to find the cure for AIDS.

5) If you could co-author a book, which famous writer would you choose?

Hands down, I'd have to choose my man: Stephen King!

Here are mine. (m)

1) Do you watch any “reality TV” shows? Watched some of the "Survivor" shows with my best friend. Does BBC America 'Ground Force' and 'Trading Spaces' count? They are reality based. I really like the home shows.

2) What’s the worst job you ever had? Pay wise? Being a cop for 6.25 an hour. Worst because I did not enjoy it would have to have been my brief stint in the convienience store.

3) Your friend has just gotten a new haircut and it’s a style that doesn’t look good on her. Do you tell the truth when she asks, “what do you think?” If it is really awful tell her. I have had some nut take a chunk of hair in the back and hacked it off six inches shorter than the rest for no apparent reason. (I think I made the mistake of mentioning that I was a cop.) My friend told me and I was able to get a different stylist to minimize the damage.

4) If you could take credit for some medical or scientific discovery, what would it be? HUH? I have no idea.

5) If you could co-author a book, which famous writer would you choose? Probably Janet Evonovich, because she is a smart mouth, too.

Just tonight (m)

A friend asked if we were watching "the Osbournes" and said it was a show I'd like. I plan to check it out next Tuesday!

That's my philosophy (m)

You can always find something positive to help a bad situation.

So how's everything coming along in the new house? Getting things squared away?
