Mathew has already had one of his flu shots. He will be getting his second in about two weeks. He only got one shot last year and didn't get the h1n1 so he needs two this year. My other three kids all had theirs aswell. My DH is getting his today or tomorrow at work and I will be getting mine in the next couple of weeks. I've got three kids in school and my Dh is a deputy so we come in contact with ALOT of germs. My thinking is if it can be prevented why not. :smileyhappy:

I haven't had the flu since I was about 10 and I rarely get the flu shot. I got both of them last year just because Kira was so young, but none of us will be getting it this year. I figure I don't get the flu, DH doesn't get the flu, and Kira just hangs out at home w/ DH all day, no day care or school or anything where she's at high risk of getting it, so why add one more (or 2 more, as it may be)?

We did flu shots last year and this year. Gabe's older sister is in daycare and I didn't want her bringing home flu bugs, especially with the H1N1 scare last year.

No way. I don't trust what is in those vaccines. Plus we constantly see people with flu who got their vaccines annually so why pump all that junk into their little bodies. Also I would 100% stay away from vaccines for the H1N1, those ended up doing alot of harm to people. The government just blew that out of proportion to make millions on that vaccine that came out last year. IMO if you're going to get the flu, you're gonna get it no matter what, vaccinated or not.

DF & I got flu shots last year when Av was under 6 months old. She got the H1N1 shot at her 6 month check up. She will be receiving the flu shot, which includes H1N1, very soon. We will also be receiving flu shots.
