I took the potty training readiness quiz http://www.parentsconnect.com/questions/potty-training-boot-camp-potty-readiness.jhtml and scored 8/10.

Ha-ha-ha. Heeeeell no! I'm not putting myself through that torture anytime soon! I'm thinking maybe we'll start around 2.5 My 4.5yo still wears a pullup at night. I am not dealing with PT two kids! LOL

According to the quiz, Jesse is not ready yet. I was going to wait until the summer anyway. And with the new baby on the way in June, I'm not sure how he (or I) will handle it. I've heard that there tends to be some regression when a new baby comes home. We'll see what happens then.

Nope, Kira's not ready (I fear it may be an issue that she doesn't seem to mind being in a wet diaper..... eeek!)

I don't know, I think just about every toddler HATES changing their dipe, but that doesn't mean they can understand the concepts of pting.

I usually get Lainey to let me take hers off by telling her, "Dipee OFF" and she lets me do it while she's playing. Then in a few minutes I tell it is time to get a "Dipee on" and she fights it most every time...it's bc she is learning to assert her independence not bc she is ready to pt by any means.

Actually, she HAS been telling me before she poops, she will come up and say "Boop" and tap her dipe then walk away to pooh then return saying "Momma!". We have a whole dump/flush/wave routine she looks forward to. She also loves to sit on her potty and hang out. She also holds and concentrates her urine very well, but guess what? She is not ready. It is too soon to put her through the rigors of it and I want her to decide when she is ready bc I do not want a power struggle on my hands.

She will be my third kiddo to pt and I must say the other two did great bc I waited till they were ready; both wore cloth dipes and were 23 mos when they were ready. It happens so much quicker and with less stress.

I am just giving you some practical advice from the voice of experience. I see so many moms pulling their hair out, bribing, stressed over pting and it is unnecessary if you take your baby's cues. Just trying to help bc I don't want to see you both frustrated in the end:)
