I can't remember if this thread has already been around, if it has, sorry! I am trying to come up with some useful ideas for JJ's first birthday.

I dont know if this helps.. but there are three 'bigger' items Im thinking about for Nolan... a little kid picnic table, a baby pool or some type of fun sprinkler & a ride on push behind bike like this....

I think we are going with a water table. Since we will be moving to Mississippi this spring/summer, it will be to have for her. We will also do a kiddy pool, but that might get stolen, by the doggies :-)

I'm thinking about a sand and water table also. I'm living in laa laa land dreaming of a dry and sunny Irish summer (pffft..yeah right!) but I still want to get some nice outdoor stuff.

I love the sand/water tables! But of course my first thought is "omg, sand?! All he'll do is eat it!" When do they stop putting stuff in their mouths?! Should I get him a sand/water table and just start out by filling it with water and then add sand when he's a little older?

Im stumped as to what to get him. I was thinking of some kind of easel with a whiteboard/chalkboard....and magnetic letters and numbers.

I really don't have any idea what I am getting Nater for his birthday yet.

Great thread...I love the idea of a water table, and of the push-car-thing that Sonya posted...we are getting Reece a comfy chair from Pottery Barn Kids - they're actually on sale right now and I have several friends that have bought them for their kids and they use them A LOT. http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/hybrid-contrast-piping-anywhere-chair/?pkey=danywhere-chairs

I know that between grandparents he is also going to get a baby pool and the Cozy Coupe car, too. We also may get him one of those baby rafts/floats for the pool.

I love all of these ideas. I think a sand/water table is a great idea. My older sons have loved those, but we have never used sand...just water. Add some bath toys, and it is a great outdoor activity. I also love the idea of the easel and baby pool. I don't have any new ideas since I am in the same boat. We have so many things from my other boys, that I don't know what to get Bennett. :)
