Happy 1st Birthday Annabelle!

Here's hoping Annabelle and her mommy Kerry (alsatia23) have a great day today celebrating!

Here's their story:

Annabelle Joy was born Tuesday November 17th at 10:40am. She was 7 lbs 15 oz and 21.25" long. She has a head full of jet black hair just like Lucas did. She's a super sweet and sleepy baby!

Her quick birth story: We went to bed about 9:30 on Monday night and I just didn't feel right. I felt a lot of pressure down there but wasn't having any contractions or signs. I started feeling like she was going to just come out at home and started panicking so we went to the hospital. I had already been 4cm and 80% effaced since my appointment the week before. When we got to the hospital I was 5cm and having contractions regularly, but I couldn't feel them. They admitted me and I got an epidural at 3:30am (I'm a wimp). I wasn't really progressing though, which was frustrating. With Lucas I went from 3-10cm in three hours, but I didn't get to 10cm until after 9am this time. They did give me pitocin at 5:30am and broke my water at 8:30am. Finally at 9:50am we started pushing and she came out at 10:40am. Still more pushing than I thought, but so much better than with Lucas (I pushed for almost four hours with him). Her birth was amazing, Ryan got to cut her cord and she was given right to me and it was the best thing ever. Then we got to keep her for 2.5 hours before she went to the nursery. It was everything I wanted because with Lucas I didn't really get to see him because he had swallowed meconium and they took him straight to the nursery.

Anyway, we are home and very happy. She is very sleepy so I am having a bit of trouble getting her awake to nurse, but we are giving it our all. Lucas is amazing with her, he kisses her and just loves on her. I can't believe how easy it has been to transition from one to two children, so much easier than transitioning from zero to one children.
