DS, who is 15 months, recently started biting again. He used to bite my a little then quit, and now about a month ago, he picked it up again. He bites me on the shoulder or arm or something, and he goes after his little cousin, who is 21 months. His cousin (and parents) live with us, so they are used to playing together all day every day, and they usually do pretty well. Sometimes, he's retaliating when she takes a toy or something, but sometimes, he just goes for it and bites her arm or leg.

Hi Kristin, it's been awhile since my son was in the biting stage but I do remember quickly replacing my arm (or hand or whatever) with a teething toy and saying 'don't bit mom' sternly, then immediately saying, 'bite this!" with the totally opposite nice voice.

I know some of the young moms will probably have more ideas for you. I know with my son, it was a stage that didn't last very long at all thankfully!

Hope you have a great weekend :)

I like the idea of redirecting. I'll try that - and thanks for the tip!
