So, on my birthday I went to dinner with some people that have a daughter Morgan's age (3) and twin boys (10

Oh wow Lacey thats aweful. From past experience we had a picture of a baby holding a beer (the mom would give it to him all the time) and took it to the police. all they said was how aweful but you cant prove it was full so theres nothing that can be done. Im sorry that your in this situation but i believe God has chosen you to stick up for those kids since no one else will. If it was me i wouldnt care if they got mad at me or the kids got taken away because you would be saving them. Be the kids voice they need it before they become completely dependent on it. Im sorry that disgust me and i will be praying for those babies.

WOW! I'm just blown away by what is happening. Here I am right now fighting a school that is discriminating against the minority by segregating. I'm not just fighting for my daughter but, for all the other kids as well. And here you have a couple of irresponsible creeps (that shouldn't be allowed to breed) putting their children in harms way.

Seriously what is this world coming too? This is depressing!

Sorry, I know how difficult this is. But the welfare of these children is at stake and what you said that you wanted to do is just

As much as it sucks to have to do it, I would call in Children's Aid, or what ever it is over there. The kids welfare is at stake. What an awful thing to do to your children.

Wow. Just wow. That sickens me. Some people REALLY shouldn't be parents.

I think that you have all the right in the world to let someone know what in the world is going on. They should not be doing this to these kids. It is not doing anything good for them and honestly they shouldnt even be able to be around these kids. If you are worried about something being said about you or your family because you are the one that turned them in then yes I think the way you are thinking about doing it is the best way to do it. No one has to know who reported them to the military or to the state, and yes you can do both. No one has to know that you told on them and personally I do not think that you are a snitch, I think you are protecting these little children that are not old enough to know that what is going on is wrong in every way possible!! You DH said that he was behind you 100% and that is great. Take a stance for these children ;)

GOOD LUCK and let us know how it goes.

Lacey, DCF is the Department of Children and Families here in the states. I just had to do this with my neighbors. I don't know what the equivalent would be in Germany. My dad used to be Chief of Police for 10 years and I talked to him before I had to do this with my neighbors. It's a long story but the mom has a boyfriend that obviously beats her and I've called the police on them 3 times. They never arrest the guy and it never stops. I was outside on Monday doing laundry (my dryer is outside) and I heard the man threaten to kill his girlfriend in their carport and I heard the little girl who is the same age as Brynn say, "please don't hurt my mommy" and saw things flying around the carport, like rakes and 2x4's. I had just had it. I have a friend who works for DCF so luckily I was able to give her the information. My dad said whatever I do, DO NOT let anybody know I'm the one who did it. The man is crazy, they live next door to us and retaliation is actually a real problem, apparently. I have also blocked my number and not given any info when I've called 911 so they don't know who it is calling. I'm not sure if they've done a welfare check on the kids, but I just couldn't help myself because he could definitely do something to those kids one day and I would feel awful. I hope you get it all figured out and I want to offer you (((hugs))) because even when you KNOW somebody else is doing something they shouldn't, it still leaves you with a weird feeling when you turn them in. It's a hard decision but somebody's got to do it! I can't believe that with the alcohol and cigarettes... that's a new one for me. I have seen some crazy stuff but WOW I don't know what would even make somebody think of doing that to their kids. Best case scenario if they never get hurt, they'll probably be alcohol dependent or have addiction problems. Sad.

DCF stands for the Department of Children and Families. The children will be assesed and then a determination would be made if they are not in a safe enviroment. If that is the case they can be put with a foster home and or with relatives. The parents would be in a heap of trouble but, the good thing is that they would be sent to take mandatory
