I put this in the wrong category - WAHHHHHHHH!

I have an Exersaucer, but think I want to return it and get a Jumperoo. Would love to hear your opinions on this most serious matter!

I have both but then I have umpteen million kids and got them at different times for different kids. My more active kids liked the jumperoo better and the calmer ones liked the exersaucer better.

When Elizabeth (7) was a baby we had a jumpy thing (like the Jumperoo). She loved it but I absolutely hated it because it was hard to get her in and out of it/ I literally dropped her on her head trying to get her out of it once. It could be because she has low muscle tone so she was a floppy baby, but it was horrible. I also found out that physical therapists hate both the jumpy things and Exersaucers because they teach the babies to use their muscles wrong. I'm sure it's not an issue for typically developing kids, but we haven't used the jumpy thing since Elizabeth started PT around 9 months. We have an Exersaucer that we've used for the other two and we'll use for Rachel.

We had experience with both, and really it all depends on the child, but DS1 LOVED the jumperoo. Oh my goodness he would spend hours just hopping around and playing with his toys. It was the best toy we had for him, hands down.

We have the jumperoo, my older DS loved it and Oz has been going to town in it lately too. I even gave it to a friend between my babies and her baby loved it too - it comes apart so its easy to store (some of those exerciser things don't really break down so well IMO; just in case you want to store it if you decide to go for a second :)
