It doesn't seem to bother him, but what should I do? It's been there for afew days now, so it doesn't seem to be coming out on its own...

My ped. said I could take a q-tip and gently try to sweep it out as I hold her lids open. Haven't tried it though... can't see my jb allowing that to happen w/o a fight. She's such a dramatic crier when she gets hungry, though, that there are enough tears to wash away a walrus.

You could try using some simple saline to flush it out.

I know it's annoying but if it's not bothering her then I wouldn't mess w/it. You know the saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"...you could give her an infection or something messing with it when it wasn't even bothering her. I'm sure the sleep w/get it eventually.

Breast milk, if you are still BF-ing could do the trick. It would also prevent infection if you did end up using a q-tip as suggested by PP. hth!
