Prevacid SoluTab?

Does anyone have any experience with Prevacid SoluTabs? I started Michael on it the other day and I can get him to take it about half the time. What method works best for getting them to take it. He is on half a tablet. I have tried putting it in his cheek and letting it disolve and giving him a little bit of water with a syringe (that seems to work best) and I've also tried to disolve it in a syringe of water and give it to him. Either way I try it he spits it out half the time. Also, how long before you saw any improvement.

Grant is on half a solutab also for his reflux. I draw up 2 mL of water into a medicine dropper and deposit in a small shot glass and dissolve the tablet in there. Then I draw up half of it and give it to him and then the other half of the solution. I usually wait until he is a bit hungry and he swallows it down pretty well. If it is near the end of his tongue he will work it out but I go slowly and put it pretty far back in his mouth.
