Shaving is ok, and I managed to shave the entire pregnancy with DD so I'm hoping I can this one too. As for toenails, I beg & bargain with DH to do them for me. They definitely aren't pretty :) but at least they are trimmed. I might try and have them polish them for my Mother's day present and just before I'm due... I don't like getting pedicures at real places because they always give me in-growns and they hurt. Too bad!

I don't really bend so much as get into a tailor sitting position ... then I can easily reach my feet and legs, especially for shaving. Giving myself a full pedicure might get tiring, but I've painted my toenails several times recently. Still ... I'm ready to go get a full pedicure at the salon (I do this more in the summer anyway).

I'm pretty big - I'm very short so my baby belly is very "there" ... there's not a lot of spread out room when you're short to begin with. Experiment with some different positions (but just bending at the waist would definitely get uncomfortable), but you should be able to find a comfortable way to do it. This is #3 and I've never not had shaved legs when I've gone into labor :-)

Hi, chiming in from July...I am 31 weeks with #2. I never had a problem shaving legs or polishing toe nails pregnant (not that i shave every day but i can manage)..Its the maintenance of the down there lady parts that i have issues with...Now i am using a mirror while i groom because i can't see anything. LOL

I'm only 23 weeks (tomorrow) so I'm not really having a problem yet EXCEPT bending over and squishing the belly makes me a little nauseous. I don't have a problem shaving my legs because I lift my leg up as opposed to bending down but if I did have a problem- my dh can do it in a pinch- he helped me shave my legs for months after I injured my knee last year- he's pretty awesome =)

I've found that sitting makes it much easier than bending, so shaving is ok.

I shave in the shower, so I'm stand there with one leg up shaving, trying to balance on the other leg. Nothing to hang onto in the shower. At this point I'll shave when I need to, for appointments, the birth, etc, !

Oy, vey - as if we need more challenges at this stage, huh? I shave in the shower, too, but so far, I'm alright. I kinda shaved my bikini line in case we went swimming, and I realized that I can't see - my belly is in the way!
