Back labor?

one of my co-workers just told me "you're probably having back labor"...but i'm not so sure. my back is KILLING me. like someone is just punching my lower back over and over again...HOWEVER, i'm not having any regular contractions - just the normal bh i've been having for months. and the pain in my back isn't coming and going it's just constant. am i crazy to think this isn't back labor or should i call my dr? i feel silly posting here and asking...but don't wan to bother my dr again. TIA.
