I'm having an ultrasound tomorrow, and unlike the previous 3 I've had this one will be done at the hospital.

I've never heard of that either...it does seem a bit odd? I have never in 3 pregnancies had to have a full bladder for any ultrasound whether at 8 weeks, 20 weeks or 30-something weeks. I know a lot of places do for early ultrasounds but yes, it seems odd that they would need a full bladder at 38 weeks!

I'm curious as to what they say the reason is: )

I'm not going to worry about it if my bladder's not full. I think the person who scheduled me was just reading off a sheet without looking at how far along I was. If they tell me they can't do it bc I don't have a full bladder I'll be interested to know why.

I've had two U/S in the past couple of weeks...both with a full bladder because they had to do a trans vaginal U/S to measure my cervix and to check my c-section scar and make sure it was still good...other than that, I don't know why they would ask you to have a full bladder...

I just went for an ultrasound at 38 weeks (had one at 34 too) and nothing was mentioned of a full bladder. Don't really know why they would...

When I got there they asked if it was full. It was. Then they couldn't get pics of the baby and needed me to go empty it so he would move. lol
