Aww look at our babies grow! I think Noelle is getting ready for something to come through teething wise as well .Her well visit is Thursday so I guess I will see what my ped says then.

Why is it percentiles vary? Is it the multiple charts available? I was curious in particular bc Ella was 14 lb 5 oz & considered like 90+%!

There are two charts one for exclusively breast fed babies versus formula fed. They have seen that comparing the two types of children they gain weight differently.

You know, I've noticed the charts must be different too based on what others have posted and remembering from DS's board when he was little.

Guess I should ask my dr. Be interesting to fund out she is/not using the bf'ed baby chart.

Ok I looked up Ella. On the new chart she is in the 50% and weighed right there near AC so I'm guessing your dr uses the new chart. From what I understand babies grow about the sameish rate the first 6 months. After that bfed babies tend to weigh less than ff with the thought that formula has a constant caloric content whereas bmilk changes. So bf'ed babies tended to drop in %tile as they get older. Thats about all I know.
