She is SO tiny! 25 inches and only 11lbs 9oz, she's in the 19%tile for weight. Doctor wasn't concerned, but I'm kind of worried. I really wanted to wait until 5.5 months to offer solids but the dr suggested to start now because of her slow weight gain. Other than that the appointment went well, she's meeting all of her milestones and only cried for a minute during her shots. She ran a fever yesterday but it was nothing some Tylenol didn't cure :)

Awww she is a peanut! Maybe that's just her build. Is she steadily gaining? I know I'm no doc but if you know she is eating well (plenty of wet/poops) and all and seems happy and satisfied I'd do what you want with YOUR baby! I was quick to follow drs orders with my first, which went fine. But I now realize looking back it'd be ok to do things a little different if I so wanted to. Glad the shots went well, they can be so tough on....us!

How much did Aubrey weigh when she was born? Maybe she just has her own curve she is staying on for gaining. Maddie was in the 12 1/2 lb range up until about two weeks ago when I was in the process of weaning her and then she weighed in at 13 lbs 11 oz at her 4 month check this week.

Maddie started out at 8 lbs 11 oz.

She was 7lbs at birth. She was in the 57%tile at two months but then her weight gain slowed and now she's 19%tile. Her dr brought up all of her appointments and she started out in the 15-17% then shot up at 2 months so she thinks it was just a fluke. She has plenty of wet diapers but she barely ever poops, we just went 14 days without one, I ended up giving her a suppository since nothing else worked.

My son was always small - he hung out in the 10% forever. Our doctor wasn't worried bc he stayed on the same curve. He is now almost 3 and is in the 75% for both height and weight, so he has definitely caught up! I wouldn't worry at all and don't feel pressured to introduce solids if you're not ready to yet.

I have a little peanut too. She is skinny but tall. I figure she is happy and so I will not worry about what she weights so long as she looks healthy.
