How long till you know? I'm doing mine on Oct 7. I was wondering if they'd draw blood this time instead of just pricking my finger.

Not sure... It makes no sense for them to take so much blood. My mom is insulin dependent, so I know they do NOT need a whole vial for sugar levels...

I know for mines they took blood but with that I found out that they ran several test other then the sugar test. They checked me for std's, checked my blood level etc. If u wanna kno exactly what they checked for with me I can check online at my test results.

They took three vials from me too and checked my iron levels. I only know that because they called me the next day and told me I was borderline anemic (never had that issue before) and that I needed to take an iron tablet...and fiber capsules to counteract the expected constipation!

Wow, that's a lot of blood! I did my glucose test last week and they only took two vials. I know that they are going to test for the glucose and also iron levels. Not sure if they test for STD's again or not (they test for those at the first blood draw of the pregnancy).

I know with me they're testing for all the same cr@p they test for AT the hospital when you go into labor... Iron etc. Other than that, I declined all std testing because hubby and I both tested negative for everything long before getting pg so I wanted to avoid them taking another vial or two to check stds... I think they also checked rh and blood type?

I don't know why they feel they have to check your rh and blood type every single time...it's not like it changes from one test to the next!

So the three test I was giving was syphilis IGG hematocrit and glucose 1 hr. I just knew of the glu test, the rest I didn't kno about until I got the results online.
