This is our 3rd child with just 1 year in between the last 2. I'm thinking of staying home. Its anyone else thinking thee same thing? I hate to give up my daycare spot and job. But financially $22,000.00 a year for daycare eats my check almost completely!

I will be home! I already am, actually. I work occasionally as an admin but that will stop in mid november... Hubby was super adamant about me staying home... Not gonna argue! lol

I've been a stay at home mom since the birth of my first son in 2006.

I wish! I'm considering a PT 3rd shift job once the baby sleeps through the night.

Oh, I wish :(

About a month before I found out I was pregnant, I was discussing with someone here at work how I wasn't going to have any more children unless I could stay home with them, Well...then I got pregnant on b/c pills and that was that!

Not working isn't an option for us right now. My husband is in construction & also a student and there are times between jobs when he's not working & he doesn't get paid, so we definitely need my income. The bright spot is that we don't have to pay for baby care, my parents will watch the new little guy in their home. However we do pay for before/after school care for both the other kids at a cost of just over $300 a month.

Hoping that in the new few years when my DH is done with school and is a foreman or something, I'll be able to quit and stay home with the kids!!

I have been a stay at home momma, but I will definitely continue to. The cost to put them in day care is so much more than I would make.

I wish. Sadly I am the primary money maker in the house so not really an option. However I work 12 hour night shifts only 3 days a week so I will not be missing too much.

Will definately being staying at home when we have our second. Doesn't make sense to work and have the entire paycheck go to day care. Enjoy being at home!

Trai, it's not much, but when you move, make sure you apply for the Universal Childcare Benefit (100$/mo for each child under 6) and the Canada Child Tax Benefit (also for each child under 6, but dependent on your income).
