I was wondering if anyone knew of any ways to prevent those darn stretch marks..I just started getting them for some reason and I'm not a fan.

I don't even attempt lol I'm more of if I got an itch I go at it. I had my first at 19 so I wasn't into saving the tummy look. Good luck!

Well it's really all about genetics, from what I understand there isn't really any sure fire way to avoid them.

My doc flat out told me it's genetics. He said you'll be less itchy as your skin stretches if you slather on lotion... But apparently if Mom got stretch marks, I will.

from what I have been told, the fairer your skin the more elastisity it has which means fewer stretch marks.

The only foolproof way to prevent stretch marks is to not have a baby :smileywink:

My stomach looks like a road map. Granted they are faded now. But, I wont be joining any stomach modeling shoots anytime soon :)

It's genetics. There is no real way or avoiding or preventing them and it SUCKS!! I got them really bad with DD and then with each DS I think I got maybe 1-2 more. My mom had them bad as well.
