My baby shower is next month and I'm trying to come up with a list of food to give to my mother and sister. Does anyone have any good ideas? Or any creative ideas

You have to see this baby shower rubber duckie punch from Tidy Mom's blog, a friend made it for a shower and it was a huge hit!!

No specific suggestions, but try to keep it simple and easy, but pick foods that YOU like. This is YOUR shower, after all! Things like finger sandwiches, veggie and fruit trays, etc. You don't want things that are super messy or take a long time to eat. At least that has been my experience with throwing baby showers and having my own.

How are you with spice nowadays? I could go for either of these dips:

I love these roll ups:

Cheese ball, veggie pizza, chicken salad on croissants, BBQ meatballs, stuffed mushrooms, spinach artichoke dip, antipasto platter...I'm so freaking hungry!

Almost forgot one of my all time faves!

You can make it as spicey or mild as you like but don't make the crust because it gets soggy. Serve with crackers, fritos or those really thick tortilla chips because it needs something sturdy to scoop it up.

I just went to one a few weeks ago that was Chicken salad on croissants and there were fruit platters, One person did fruit Kabobs it was just strawberries and grapes on skewers..also there was broccoli salad and a cold risotto that was yummy- they did cupcakes on a tier instead of a cake. Was really cute and classy.

My friend and I threw a shower in July and were really tight on money so we did a nacho bar. We got the nacho chips, put the cheese in the crock pot on warm, cooked some carne asada and shredded chicken, put a can of chili in a small crock pot on warm, and also had shredded cheese and salsa that people could put on top. For snacks we had a watermelon fruit bowl that contained balled watermelon, strawberries, and red and green grapes. We also had a vegetable platter with sliced cucumbers, baby carrots, and broccoli and a ranch/cottage cheese dip. We made brownies, chocolate cake pops, and cupcakes. My friends theme was hot pink and black with skulls. For the cake pops I covered them in white chocolate and then used a black gel pen to draw the face on with a little heart nose and a pink glittery gel pen to draw a little bow on for the hair. The cupcakes had hot pink frosting and my friend made little white skull candies that we placed in each cupcake. It turned out really cute. I'll have to try and post pics. I don't know if you can access these facebook pics or not.
