Do you plan to find out if you are having a boy or a girl before baby is born?

We are definitely finding out. We have already booked our 3D/4D u/s for July 9th @ 16 weeks. I wanted to make sure she was not booked and I could get the earliest date/time possible. Obsessed much?!?!? lol.

With DS we found out because we thought that was the thing to do, I guess. With DD we didn't. Some of our friends thought we were nuts to not find out. We wanted to be surprised. Since we had a baby before much of the baby gear was already had so that wasn't an issue. I didn't buy any clothes for DD pre delivery, however my best friend did. Essentially she went to the store a few days before my section date and picked up a few boy and girl gifts. Then she returned the boy stuff after the delivery. I thought tjhat was smart- why hadn't I thought of that? We were also fortunate because my SIL had a girl 6 months before and had plenty of hand me downs for DD. However, this time around we are considering finding out because DS is now 6 and really excited to start planning/shopping. Its extremely hard to find gender neutral things. We're still on the fence I guess.

We didn't find out with our son and we did like the surprise, but it was really hard towards the end for me.

With DS we didn't find out even though I really wanted to know, he just wouldn't co-operate. It ended up being a really nice surprise when he was born. Everyone was sure he was a girl except for myself.

A part of me would like to be surprised, but I know there is NO way I could hold out that long. I'm dying to know already! Plus for the preparedness factor. We have tons and tons of girl stuff, but if we are having a boy we are starting from scratch. We don't have anything gender neutral.

I keep flip flopping on what I'm hoping for. It would be neat to have a boy because we don't have one, but I really want my dd to have a sister.
