I was just wondering, for those of you with older kids, do you take them with you to your OB appointments?

If you are worried it helps to bring them in a stroller so they can be buckled, and bring fruit snacks or something. I took my kids to a couple last time. We have a follow-up u/s next thursday and I am going to bring them all to see the baby.

New here, but need to jump in somewhere, lol. I will probably bring my DS, who is almost 19 months, to all of my appointments. So far I've had two, my first was last week and then one today. Last week I had my PAP done and my DS was in the room (my DH was with me, so he held him)....he's too young to know what is going on anyway, lol. And then today we had Sean in the ultrasound room with us while we had the baby "dated". Again, my DH held him. Yeah, he got a little frustrated at having to sit and behave and not be able to run around, but he's gonna have to get used to it. Besides, I don't have a babysitter for him, so he kinda has to come with, lol.

My daughter didn't last time, but I think I will take her to the next one where we will hear the hb. She was 4 in February. She was not even 2 when Oliver was born so she didn't really follow much of that. I will also be taking them both the the "big" ultrasound. Oliver will be 3 in October and I think seeing that picture where you can actually make out a baby will help him really get it! So Chloe will go a few times, maybe more if she enjoys it. They go to the daycare I work at so I have the option to take them there if I can't or don't want to take them. -Jill

When I was pregnant with my son there were many times when I'd have to take my daughter who was only 1 at the time. My doctor's office has an activity center where the little ones can play. Now I take the kids with me when I need to (6 and 4 years old) and they are able to entertain themselves.
