I can do basic things. My friend however is awesome at it and is making Adelaide an amazing blanket that I fell in love with when I seen it in a pattern book. :)

I always wanted to learn but I am terrible at reading instructions from a book so I really need someone to teach me hands on.

I can crochet simple things like scarves and .....yeah, well, scarves it is, lol. But, I just taught myself how to knit and can read knitting patterns. I'm in the process of knitting baby boy a blanket and hoping like heck that I'm finished with it by the time he appears!

I had really wanted to learn knitting for a long time, too, but had always thought it was really hard. But I decided that I was gonna do it one day, so I went and bought some yarn and two "teach yourself" books, and taught myself. Pretty quickly too! it is no where near as hard as I thought it would be. There are really only two stitches after and then a few variations on them. If you are able to learn from reading it might be worth it to get a book and try!
