My doctor haven't said anything about it! I don't do flhu shots though. Even having the job I have, the fire department comes around giving out shots when things are going around but I always refuse
I think my OB suggested at one of the first appointments that I get the flu shot at some point. However, I don't get them. I have had one flue shot my whole life and never gotten the flu (that I know of), so I just don't bother. I didn't get sick from the one shot I did have, but still, I don't like needles so I don't get the shot, lol.
My OB in CO never asked, not sure if my OB here in CA will but there is no way I will be getting one. I would rather just get the flu, which BTW I have never gotten during the winter AND never had the flu shot. Makenzie had swine flu and spinal meningitis at the same time the year before last and I didn't catch either. Both boys went on to get swine after her and I still didn't get it. I think I have a pretty good immune system. This year (because I'm pg and there will be a new baby) I plan to just keep everyones immune systems built up naturally.
My Dr hasn't mentioned it, but I'll request it. I get it every year because it not only keeps me safe but keeps my kids safe as well. I don't want to be a carrier of any illness if I can avoid it.
I won't be getting it but I'll probably take Olivia in for hers. This will be her 2nd and last year getting it. Her Dr guilted us into it last year and, after I thought about it, I regretted it. I'm only doing it this year so that there's 1 less reason to bar her from the hospital should there be some outbreak again this year.
My ob brought it up a at my last appointment she highly recommends that you get the flu and phnemonia shot. But if I have any sniffles or not feeling 100% I'm going to refuse. Last time I got the flu shot I was down for 3 days with flu like symptoms.
Also, if you didn't know this fathers are highly recommended to get the whooping cough and tetnus shots before baby is born. Mothers get the shot in the hospital after delivery. Per my obyn
