Lol! Guess I just slid in! I just turned 34 and so I'll still be 34 when nugget is born so I'm not old yet ;) but I was asked numerous times after saying I'm 34, how old I'll be when baby is born!

I'll be 35 once the baby comes and will acquire my special label this fall. I asked my Dr what that meant and she said it means nothing. She said I was joining a large and diverse group of women-many of them on their first. She won't treat me any different but I had hoped it would mean an extra u/s or 2!

I don't understand the need for a specialist for being 35 either! I know that is about the time they really prefer for you to get testing and such done, but to have to go to a different doctor? Doesn't make sense to me. You aren't old and don't let that ruin the rest of your day!

Ha! I had my first just two weeks shy of my 39th birthday and they never said a thing. I'm 41 now, and I am going to get some genetic counseling, but it was optional, not required.
