generic brand formula

My milk has dried up. I just wasn't able to pump much at work and couldn't keep up with Miranda's appetite. Although I'm proud of going 4 months I'm also sad because my tubes are tied and will never nurse again. :-(
Now that my pity party is over, I have a question: anyone try or use generic formula? We've been using Similac Advance but when i was at Target the other day I noticed that they have a generic of similac for much cheaper. Just looking for some of your opinions ....

I have a can of this and have been using it on occassion without any problems. I bought it to mix with rice cereal or to supplement when I'm not home and the expressed milk is gone. My husband says he takes it just fine and it is so much cheaper.

My doctor said that there is no difference except for the name. She said that they all have to have the same ingredients.
