Since I'm always obsessing about one thing or another I searched on the Internet the percentage of miscarriages at 9 weeks of pregnancy. I was shocked to see on 2 sites that the rate of miscarriage is highest in weeks 9-11!!! I always thought the rate drops after the heartbeat was detected??

I thought the same thing, too. Okay, no more internet searches for you! Lol =) I think one of the reasons that we might always hear that it drops after seeing that heartbeat is because at least then the baby is in the right place and developing. As far as the highest rate being b/t those weeks, the only thing I can think of is maybe the placenta never really started producing progesterone like it was supposed to. I know my miscarriages were at 7.5 weeks because my body would stop making progesterone prior to the placenta making it's own.
