I've been lurking, sorry for not posting much

I know I haven't updated in a while here.

Last week I had my 22-week appt, they took lots of blood to run tests recommended by my mfm, the baby was having fun evading the heart dopppler ;) silly boy! But we finally got him still and his heart sounded great at 152. My bp was great (which is always a concern since my last baby died at 35 weeks from sudden severe pre-e). We talked about symptoms of pre-e and pre-term labor. My doc updated my chart to reflect an edd of 11/27. He told me to take the baby aspirin the mfm recommended until 36 weeks, then stop. He was impressed that I was the first woman in 2 weeks to NOT have swollen ankles thanks to the extremem heat wave - go me :) And I lost one whole pound.. :D yes!

My OB's office called with test results. The testing they did at my last appt showed that I have a prothrombin gene mutation which is one of the clotting disorders, this one can cause recurrent miscarriage as well as 2nd and 3rd trimester losses, and there are ongoing studies trying to link it to preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome (hasn't been linked yet but I bet it is a matter of time before they link them).
