Working Moms: Do you worry about missing your children’s important milestones because of work? Were there any that you missed? If so, how did you deal with it?

my leave ends the 7th but im taking the 6weeks of newborn cate/baby bonding time right after to spend as much time as i can before going back....it bums me out knowing i'll probably miss something and i wish i could be a sahm like i was for 18mths with my 1st. im not sure how i'll handle it knowing so much happens in the 1st year

I am definitely nervous about this. One of my biggest fears is that my daughter will call the babysitter mommy first. Since my sitter has her two young sons my daughter will hear them call her mommy a ton.

Absolutely. It breaks my heart to think of the things I might miss being a working mom.

Today was my first day back to work. I was glad that I was able to stay home with him for the first ten weeks. I had to go back to work after 6 weeks with my first. Just as the first time, my parents will be watching the baby. I'm absolutely heartbroken that I can't be a SAHM and that I had to go back to work. I am reassured that my parents love him and will take great care of him, but yes, I know that I'll miss plenty :(
