Question, what has your baby's heart rate been hanging out at?? This morning at 12w1d baby was hanging out at 175 bpm, which sounds like girl to me BUT I'm wondering if they are all just this high this early?!?! Any ways I would love to compare :)

I don't know about this baby, but with my son his heartbeat was always in the high 160s which supposedly indicates girl and obviously was wrong, so I'm not sure I buy that theory.

I have been able to hear the hb on doppler, but haven't been able to get a reading on it?? At my ob appts, the hb has been in the high 140's to 150's. I'm around 15-16 weeks.

Mines been around 175 with my doppler at 13 weeks. My DD was always in the high 160's. But I have tons of girlfriends with sons who's HB was in the 170s the whole time. So, I dont buy it.

The heartbeat indicating the gender of the baby is an old wive's tale. A fast heart rate doesn't necessarily indicate a girl and a slow one doesn't necessarily indicate a boy. My DS's was always around 160 or so, and he was a boy, lol.

I use my doppler twice a day and each time I get a different reading. In the morning the bpm is usually around 156-165. At night the bpm is usually between 171-178. I think I might have a night owl on my hands, lol. I have
