Pampers VS Huggies for Boys?

I've heard that one works better for boys and the other works better for girls, but I can't remember which way it goes. Has anyone else heard this? Anyone prefer one over the other for boys specifically?

I'd also be interested in feedback on store-name brands too like Target and Kirklands (Costco's brand).

For my son, Huggies worked best. Target diapers were good for daytime, but I used huggies at night. For DD, target brand was fine for all the time wear.

Five years ago for DD I only used huggies. I have pampers for RJ in newborn because they are softer. I also have huggies but in bigger sizes

I think that supposedly Pampers are suppose to work better for boys and Huggies for girls, however, I really think it depends on the child.

I only used Pampers for all 3 of my kids. With Kenz I used huggies in the beginning and they are HORRIBLE!! Pampers worked GREAT for both girl and boy.

It is dependent upon the individual child, not whether they are a boy or girl. We found that Huggies did not work well with our DS. They were fine around the waist, but leaked like crazy around the legs because he had skinny little legs! We've been using Pampers ever since and had very few leaks with them. The only time that they have leaked was when we needed to go up a size. We've also used Target brand and haven't had any trouble with them, but I don't like to use them overnight since they don't hold as much as Pampers.

For my son I had better luck with Pampers...although I used the huggies night time diaper b/c he was a heavy wetter at night.
I think Target brand is as good as pampers and cheaper. But I didn't switch to them until he was 18 months maybe...so not sure about how they do as a newborn. I will use them with this baby though.

Hated LUVs and PArent's choice from walmart. LEaked all the time.

I've had a girl and a boy and have always preferred pampers overall. I also like luvs....JMO, may be trial and error since each kid is different!

I love seeing all the good reviews for the Target brand! If those work out I will save so much money.
