I haven't been in your shoes, but it seems like a lot of times dates are slightly off or what not and people don't see what they expect at those first ultrasounds. I think that is why some doctors will not do them so early. Too much error margin, kwim? I know it is easier said than done, but just take care of yourself and try not to stress too much. There isn't much you can do but try to keep optimistic until you know something solid either way.
I was probably around 5w5d. Not exactly sure, but that is based on my ovulation date since I ovulated late. As far as the u/s, they tried to do vaginal but couldn't see anything because of my c-section last time they said, so they tried abdominal. I emptied my bladder before the vaginal.
I wouldn't expect to see anything on an abdominal u/s so early. and if your c-section was making the vaginal u/s hard to see thing, that may be the reason you didn't see anything. Try to stay optimistic. I pray everything goes well. The babies develop so much in just one week at this stage, it very possibly was just too early.
I can say the babies grow so much in just one day. I had the abdominal one done in the ER I only saw the yolk sac, she tried to say I was 7 weeks. She also did the vaginal one. The next day I went to my OB and she did a vaginal one and said I was early in week five and the baby was forming.
Dont worry with my DD we didnt see heartbeat at 7weeks so I went back at 8weeks and she was perfectly fine shes now 3 years old ;) each baby grow differently ! they say most of the time you wont see it before 8 weeks along .
Praying all goes well.

Also, if they are doing a transvaginal u/s make sure your bladder is completely empty. If your bladder is full they wont be able to see anything.
