I see your dilemma!
I don't see a problem with it b/c I think they are different enough.
I think they go well together and I of course LOVE the name being I have a Nathan ;) I say if you agree, go with it.
I do agree on the similarity, it's just to close for me. We liked Clara for a girl but our first daughter's name is Chloe and even that was to similar for me. Good luck, I know this naming business isn't easy.
