I was just wondering. I know at first they do a one week or two week or both but what next? Our dr doesnt have Ella coming back until 2 months. This is fine by me as I dont have any concerns right now but I just thought it was odd.

Isaac did a one week, a one and a half (weigh-in since he's preemie), two week and now a one month since he was looking so good at his other three appts. Then monthly.

My doctor doesn't have us coming back until 2 months either, but said I could make an appointment sooner if I had any problems or concerns.

Maddie had a 5 day appointment and we then scheduled a 1 month appointment. We ended up having to take her in when she was 12 days old because her umbilical cord did not come off completely. Part of it separated and it left a partial (gross looking) cord behind it. The doctor put liquid nitrate on it to dry it out and we just had to treat it with alcohol. He thought it could take a couple weeks to come off completely but it took less than a week.

Maddie has developed a lot of eye gunk that I will call about tomorrow. My oldest DD had a clogged tear duct and so I really did not think to ask about it at the other appointments. Since Maddie has it in both eyes and it has gotten worse, I want to see what they say. We have to clean her eyes all day long :)

Dillon has the eye gunk too, he's had it since he was born. They gave me prescription drops at his first appt and I put them in three times a day and it's cleared up quite a bit. Sometimes after naps his eyelashes still gunk together but I just take a moist washcloth and wipe them off a few times a day.

I had one a couple days after she was born (although she was seen by the ped in the hospital like normal). Then a week later. She will go in at one month then 2 months for her shots.
