For my little cousin

My 15 year old cousin is due with a girl two weeks after me. Once she decided she wanted to keep the baby a lot of the older female cousins like myself set down with her to try to tell her how to take care of herself... eating right, resting, no sleeping around etc. Well she's only 98 pounds and does nothing to help herself or the baby really. I just found out that she has been in the hospital since Friday for bleeding. I don't know the details of the situation. Even though she's young and young minded I wouldn't want to see anyone lose their unborn child.

Glad to hear she's out of the hospital... My fam had a similar situation two years ago. My cousin's high-school age gf didn't understand really that what she did affected her child and she began bleeding heavily and was in the hospital for a few days... Fortunately, it scared her into listening to what we were telling her and she had a BIG healthy boy right on schedule. :)

I hope she takes the advice you've all given her. It sounds like her little body really needs the rest.

I hope that she starts to do the things she is supposed to and stops doing the things she isn't supposed to.
My niece had a baby at 15 (she actually got pregnant at 14). She matured pretty quickly once the baby was born. Hopefully your cousin does the same. Granted, she didn't mature all the way to "adult", but she was much more mature about most things than a typical 15 year old is. I guess that maternal instinct can present itself even in children.

Wow, definately sending prayers. LIke you said even though she is young you still want her and baby to be healthy. Hoping she gets better and so does the pregnancy!

Yea she plan on keeping her. she's only in the 10th grade. It was a big hit to the family, but we wouldn't wish this on her. Hopefully everything is ok with her but she does need to take care of herself, I hope this situation kicks her in gear!
