I just realized, my 39th birthday is 6 weeks away, and while it's not The Big 4-O, it's a big deal...I'm not "thirtysomething" anymore, no, I'm Pushing 40!

I may be an odd duck, because so far, I don't feel like I am worried about entering my 40's, or dreading it, or feeling like my life is over. It makes me realize, I won't be able to honestly claim to be "young" anymore, but I won't be to the point of being "young at heart" either!

I just never got why being young was what everyone was about, anyway...my parents' generation, baby boomers, seemed to be desperately clinging to youth, with such slogans as "Never Trust Anyone Over 30" (HA!) and so on. The women seemed to think they were old at 30!

Cindy,

I love your thoughts! Perfect sentiment! Sounds like life is just right. Thanks for sharing that!

I just turned 37 so I do have a few years but I'm one of those ones that can't stand the number.
